Absolutely Gorgeous Post Box. Very romantic with a very vintage/cottage style. It is made of a sturdy grey galvanized tin. It is shaped just like a Birdhouse with a galvanized tin corrugated roof! It has a beautiful embossed bird, garland and the word POST on the front.

There are 2 openings on this Mailbox.

First, On the front, near the top of the post box there is a door flap with a metal bar--when opened reveals a slit (6.5\"wide) for dropping mail into the box. This flap has beautiful garland embossing too! Theattachedmetal bar stops the door flap from opening 180* so that when you put mail into the box it does not get wet from rain!

Second, there is an actual door (8\" H x 9\" W)on the front of the post box. It has abeautiful embossed bird, garland and the word POST on the front. The front door has a small tin lever that is used to close the door.

This mailboxshould stand on it\'s own or you may hang it on the wall if you like. There are 2 small nail holes hooks on back for hanging.

You can paint this box any color you like. You can then distress it if you like and/or dry rub light brown stain on top.

Box is both decorative and functional!

Of course you could use this lovely box for many other uses such as collecting wedding/bridal

gifts of money, cards, letters, and well wishes.
