I don\'t know exactly what these two things would be considered but they look like trivets to me. They are very colorful and date from the 1960\'s or 70\'s. They are from the Kenya Colony area in Africa. The smaller piece is approximately 7” in diameter and the larger piece is 8-1/2\' to 11” in diameter if you count the triangular sections that protrude off the sides of the piece. Looks like it may be missing a triangle or two but I really don\'t know, it may have been made like this. The colors are kind of pink, green and purple. The smaller piece has a section that looks like it may be missing some weaving. I\'d say then that these are in fair to good condition. They\'ve probably been used a lot which makes me think they were used as trivets.

I don\'t know to much of it\'s history except the lady who owned it previously is the same lady who had the Wildebeest and Waterbuck horns I have listed. I also have baskets and trivets listed from the same lady and those too are from the same area and time. I don\'t know if they were woven by the same person or in the same village though. She did not share that with me. All pieces seem to be in good condition as far as I can tell. EVERYTHING is sold \"AS IS\" unless specified. EVERYTHING IS USED UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED!
