Sign History
This the extremely rare Coors Original Rocky Mountain cowboy & campfire motion beer sign, manufactured in 1995. Few units were made. In 1996, this particular specimen was installed on a high wall in the dinning room of a dry smoke free restaurant in Arizona that belonged to my grandfather. It stayed there until 2007 when it was covered and stored in a A/C controlled bedroom. I just turned it on the other day and it is in fine working condition.It gets a lot of attention!
Details & Condition
It is a rare beauty, displaying a lovely blue and white Rocky Mountain cowboy campfire scene. The motion background allows images to subtly appear that they are moving: the stars twinkle, the water is waving, the fire sparks, the big can of Coors is dripping, and the beer mug\'s suds are overflowing.
There is an on/off switch on the lower left side. The power cord is heavy and looks to be in perfect condition. This is a used unit. The rear frame has some scratches at the top where it was wall mounted (see picture), but these cannot be noticed unless viewed from the back. There is some dirt on the left side (see picture). There is also a dent on the top right shoulder (see pictures).There is a little tear on one corner of the moving film/ribbon belt, but this is not noticeable and doesn\'t interfere with its operation. The can be easily removed for cleaning and service. It is illuminated by two florescent bulbs. The springs for the gears look sharp, and the motor itself runs fine. The sign measures 38\" long x 21\" high x 4\" deep. Please email me with any specific questions.
