The deco handle & color of lid is typical 40\'s vintage. This pot is unique in that it does not have the \"Red Wing\" name on it - only USA -- but it is definitely Red Wing.It belonged to my mother-in-law (who rarely cooked).It looks brand new - judging from my mother-in-law\'s lifestyle, I doubt she ever used it.This baking dish will make a beautiful display as well as utilitarian use for cooking.

Beautiful pre owned condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The glazing suggests it might have been hand thrown -- but the finish is intact and very lovely. There is one mark on the outside edge of the lid that looks like a chip, and one on the handle - but both marks have been glazed over and are not actual chips - this is partially why I think it was hand-thrown. It has a nice \"earthy\" look to it.

I have tried to represent the colors in the photos as closely as I am able. Different monitors make colors look different - so if you need this to be an exact match to the photo on your monitor, I cannot guarantee that.
