Vintage two-part Easter Egg Candy Container made of paper mache. Made in the Western Germany (marked on inside pink floral paper lining). This egg has a picture of a family of ducks out for a stroll. The father duck is smoking a cigarette. Back in the day, these egg containers were given out at Easter. They held a few pieces of candy like chocolate, jelly beans, and little marshmallow bunnies. Teachers often gave them on the last day of school before Easter vacation. Many of them were given to children after Easter morning services. They also were hidden around the house and given by parents to their children. These eggs make children smile with the fabulous graphics, and the candy they held inside (not included).
Measures approx. 4\" long x 2.5\" wide x 2.5\" high
Great vintage condition. Shows minor wear - See photos. Container has no cracks, fractures, chips or stains.
