Vintage Dutch Herbert Hooijkaas, HH 835 Silver Viking Ship Card Holder:

This is a beautiful and very small Viking Ship created byHerbert Hooijkaas. He was born in 1848 in the Netherlands and is listed as a silversmith among other professions. I believe this is a card holder, place holder, but I could be mistaken. It may be just a small Viking Ship decorative piece. It is hallmarked HH on the flat bottom part--the top, not bottom. The letters have a star before and after which places it to 1943-1978. VERY small writing--almost went blind looking for it. :)
There is also a hallmark with what looks like a head and then 835--which is the silver content, and then perhaps a sideways key. The writing is really super tiny and I have multiple jeweler\'s loupes and with the passing of time and wear, it is very hard to read. I am confident of the silver content and the maker. It measures 1 3/4\" tall and the base is just right at 1\" in diameter.
CONDITION-- some tarnish and blotchy finish and I should mention I did not clean or polish it. I always leave patina as found. Very nice little treasure for those reaching out for their Dutch heritage :). Thank you so much for looking and have a Blessed Day!
