These wool cards were manufactured byE.B. Frye & Son Mfrs. in Wilton, New Hampshire sometime between 1909-1960. This mill, now called Frye\'s Measure Mill, is still in operation producing Shaker crafts.
Very small metal teeth pierce through leather, which is attached to a wool panel with handles. Wool is laid on one card and combed with the other to prepare fiber for spinning.
These cards are hard to find but are not in usable condition. Teeth have rusted. For display only. 9.25\" x 4\" cards, with handle 8.25\" long.
