This is the finest most exquisite antique/vintage carved shell cameo bracelet....lush solid 14K yellow gold....wide insert clasp with safety chain. The bracelet measures 8\" x 1 1/2\"and the cameos are large.There are5 museum quality handcarved cameos. The largest center cameo measures 1 3/4\" x 1 1/2\". The 4 remaining cameos measure 1 1/2\" x 1 1/8\" varrying slightly in size. Each cameo makes it\'s own statement. Full scene...angels & cherubs, delicate profile and thefull face carved in very high relief. The gold mountings are heavy quality handcrafted to fit each carving. Absolutely stunning! Weighs 43.8 grams. In excellent superb condition. Signs of wear noted for accuracy...with loupe...tiny chip off tip of nose off full face cameo...does not compromise profile....tiny dings in flat surface of clasp.... light stress lines on back of cameos near clasp (do notsee from front). I have been asked many specific questions about the bracelet as to origin and age....from my experience with collecting, buying and seling cameos...the designof the gold suggests that the bracelet was put together in the 40\'s or 50\'s (possibly earlier). I believe the cameos are a little older. I do not know the origin of the cameos....but the style of the carving suggests they were carved in Italy. I purchased the bracelet several years ago from a reputable dealer as \"antique\" although I feel it is Vintage....not quite what I would consider \"antique\". I am NOT AN EXPERT, but many many cameos have passed through my hands over the years. Look closely at the pictures and decide for yourself. My best customers are educated buyers.
