Vintage Early \'60\'s Herman Miller / Charles Eames lounge chair & ottoman (670/671) in great condition,Fine black leather, down filled, bent rosewood/Alum. frame.Leather is an 8 out of 10, just some minor wear. Purchased by parents in appx 1960. Recovered in 2005 at a cost of almost $2K. I have two identical set\'s but not enough room for both so reluctantly selling one set. Hoping for a new home that will appreciates what these are.I\'ve been made aware that the \"Shock Mounts\" have been modified from original form and I have contacted a highly reputable authorized Eames/Mid-Century furniture shop in L.A,CA that has seen this condition many times. They provided me a quote of $535 to replace/repair the shock mounts and an additional $525 to have both the chair and ottoman shells & frames restored to original beauty. For me the condition of the identical set I\'m keeping is beautiful as is and I\'ll enjoy it as such but for theEamesperfectionist those would be the associated costs to restore to original and the offerding price reflects this.
