fr470. This is an early veneered frame designed to showcase \"flat\" art with the use of another slightly larger backing. Silhouettes or handpainted portraits were commonly displayed in these frames. One corner (pictured) has a small corner chip and a veneer crack. Otherwise, Very Good, strong condition. Outside dimensions: 5 1/8\" x 4 1/4\". Sight size: 3 1/8\" x 2 1/2\". Original brass hanger and stamped brass fruit decoration.
