This listing is for a Silver, Turquoise, and Leather BOLO Tie By the Native American ZUNI Silversmith EFFIE CALAVAZA.
This item has a SNAKE (Rattlesnake) Design on it -see images.

This item was recently purchased from an estate.

We also purchased a similar BELT BUCKLE and RING from the same estate (both made by EFFIE CALAVAZA as well), and I will be listing them today on -so be sure to look at the other items that I have listed.

SPECIFICATIONS:

This is a USED/PRE-OWNED Item -See Below for Condition Report.

Material: Silver, Turquoise, Leather

Signed: Marked on the back with EFFIE C. ZUNI.
EFFIE C. is the mark used by EFFIE CALAVAZA
the metal has been tested and it tests to be silver -at least 800 silver in purity.

There is also a number written in marker on the back of this item (165-)
likely an old price?

the clip that holds the leather strap is marked BENNETT PAT PEND.

Dimensions: The main Silver and Turquoise section of this item measures about 2 13/16\" x 2 1/8\" or so at the largest points.

The braided leather cord measures about 3/16\" or so wide (about 4.5mm-5mm or so wide).

This tie measuring flat end to end, measures about 19 3/4\" or so long from the tip of the silver tips in the front, to the back of the loop of the braided leather in the back (measuring flat end to end).

Measuring from the end of one silver tip.....all the way around the braided black material......to the end of the other silver tip....it is about 39 3/4\" or so around.

Gemstones: this item is detailed with TURQUOISE

Condition:

This item is in decent vintage condition with some signs of age/wear and use.

the turquoise stones have some signs of age/wear.
There is one stone that has what looks like a hairline/crack on it, and a small chip as well -see close images.
There are some scratches/scuffs, wear and imperfections on the stones in some areas,
The stones have several matrix lines and imperfections etc. in them -see images.

The silver has some small scratches/dings, dimples, scuffs, wear and imperfections in some areas.
there is patina, tarnish and discoloration on the silver in some areas, and it could use a cleaning/touch up polish in some areas (if desired).

the leather has some scuffs/scratches, wear and imperfections in some areas. -signs of age/wear and use.

All in all, I would have to say that this item is in decent estate condition, with some signs of age/wear and use.
