This sale is for a beautiful Wendt & KuhnMusic Box from the Erzgebirge region in the former East Germany. It is a uniquepiece of art work, hand crafted from wood and hand painted. It is called\"Kinderreigen\" and features a parade of children walking around atree. Themusical movement is a Swiss Thorens movement. The sound is bright and clear andit is playinga Germany tune called: \"Komm\' lieber Mai Und Mai und mach\' dieBaeume wieder gruen\". There is a working stopper on the side. While themusic is playing, the platform with the children rotates around the stationarytree. It dates back to the 1970\'s. The colors are still nice and bright, but withfurther inspection there are some things that the buyer should be aware of which is described asfollows. There is some minor paint chipping around the top. The small blue birdin the tree is missing the tip of his tail and at one time based on photos ofothers it appears the little girl that looks like she is carrying a stick shouldbe carrying a balloon and one little girl is missing a portion of her arm. Oneof the base knobs is missing but does not affect the balance of the box. Pleaselook carefully at all the pictures as they can provide the best description.
