Up for offer is this Vintage Made in the German Democratic Republic Wood Christmas Pyramid featuring a carved Christmas Tree with Angels. The Angelsare playing musical instruments such a cymbal, clarinet, guitar and reading music, Silent Night. The German Democratic Republic (East Germany) was established in 1949 from the area of Germany occupied by the Soviet Union. East Germany fell with the collapse of communism in 1989 and East and West Germany were united. I am not sure of the exact age of this pyramid but I know it is at least 27 years old. The windmill moves when the candles arelit. But for safety reasons I would use this for decorative purposes only. This is made out of wood and the candle holders appear to be copper. It measures9 1/2\" H x 8\" in Diameter. The windmill breaks down (as pictured) for packaging purposes. This originally sold at Lord and Taylor for 52.50.
