Vintage Genuine Erzgebirge Volkskunst Seiffen Handcrafted Pyramid Christmas Carousel NativityYou are offerding on a beautiful vintage genuine Erzgebirge Volkskunst Seiffen Handcrafted wooden Christmas pyramid / Carousel. The piece stands about 13” tall. There are (12) 4 ½” blades that create an approximately 12” diameter circle. The blades are turned by the heat of the candles. Each figure is done in very fine detail. I have no idea how they peeled the wood to make the Christmas trees look so cool! It has 3 candle holders. One has the holder missing but it can be easily replaced with two screws on the bottom. I found a replacement source for $8.95 plus shipping. Here is the link: is exquisite German craftsmanship. The blades rotate easily and I can find nothing wrong with it except for the missing candle holder mentioned earlier. It would make a beautiful conversation piece in any home, especially around the holidays. I searched for this particular design online and could not find it. I am unsure of when it was made.
