I have here an Eschle automaton music box in very good condition. There is wear to the plating of the brass on the top of the cage. The birds head appears to be missing a feather on the very top. I wound the box a few times and moved the bottom switch to continuous and the bird started singing and moving. The birds tail moves up and down and the bird hops up and down on its perch. The birds beak does not move. Other examples I have seen have a moving beak, but this one does not move. I do not know if this is a defect or not. The bottom is marked with an E symbol with a bird inside the E. From my research I believe this to be the mark for Eschle. My kids love this thing and I kind of hate to sell it, but it is being offered here with . Please feel free to ask any questions.
