It\'s me, Eloise! I am six! I live at the Plaza!
This is THE ORIGINAL vintage 1957 Eloise doll by Hol-Le Brand. This is the only year Hol-Le manufacturedthe doll due to the overwhelming demand for Eloise. You can read all about the doll by searching the online guide, The Rawther Definitive History of the Eloise Doll.Eloise was adopted at the legendary (soon to be closing its doors) 5th Avenue toy store FAO Schwarz right near the Plaza Hotel.
\"Charge it, please! Thank you very much\"!I consider Eloise to be in excellent well loved condition with original onesie blouse, navy felt pleated jumper and red hair bow. She is missing her shoes and socks. Her clothes have no stains, rips, holes or missing bits; I am not sure how her suspenders go in the back. Her blouse has the original Eloise Hol-Le tag.
As you can see from the numerous close photos, Eloise has a faint mark on her chin which may come out - I\'ll leave that to the new Nanny. She also has a teeny chip on her nose (very typical of these dolls and way better than most Eloise dolls\' noses I\'ve seen) and a line of missing paint across her eyelid which I believe can be easily corrected.
Her one leg has a very faint stain (see photo) but her limbs are not dirty or marked up as many are.I think she looks divine for her age - 57 - I mean six.All my items come from a smoke free storage facility and shipped with care using protective packing materials.
