Vintage Evandale Hand Painted Plate - African Bird by Wynne Noble:
$9.99

A 12.5\" diameter plate from Evandale Porcelain displaying an African (aboriginal?) bird on the front and the same(smaller)image with\"© by Noble\" on the back;in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, discoloration, crazing or notable scratches - only a few negligible storage marks; there\'s a tiny bit of a label adhesive on the back which I will leave for the buyer to remove.(Please see photos.) It\'s probably a chop plate from a set of tableware and can definitely bere-purposedto make aneye catchingdecor item.
In researching this item, I found information from \"The Free Library\" dated 1995 which attributes this design to an artist named E. Wynne Noble (who at that time partnered with Joe and Elaine Chang, entrepreneurswho had manufacturing contacts in China.) Their line of tableware was included in a \"Bloomingdale\'s By Mail\" catalog and was also offered in Nordstrom stores. Additional information about the artist can be found on the \"DUMBO IS\" blog and also from information available through the Brooklyn Arts Council site.I will gladly answer any questions about this listing, and as always, there is never a handling fee.RETURN POLICY:Returns are not accepted, as your offer is considered to be and accepted as a contractual obligation to purchase the item as described, with the exception of gross omission or inaccurate description of the item.(This includes buyer\'s remorse.)
Payment is requested within 5 days of sale end. Please read the description thoroughly, keeping in mind that many of the items I sell are vintage wares. Unless an item is described as\"mint\"you should expect to find some signs of use, including but not limited to negligible surface scratches or utensil marks on porcelain. If such wear is substantial enough to affect the value of the piece, it will be described in detail in theitem\'s description. Although some items may have been display only, all should be considered previously used unless otherwise stated as new. Please contact me if you have any questions about the item - additional photos furnished upon request, and questions regarding the item answered via e-mail.
