Up for consideration is a fine vintagehand made lamp with painted fellow and old pasted documents used as a shade. It measures 33 inches high by about 14 inches wide.I would say decoupage but I am not sure. It appears that there are several contemporary copies of people using letters or old Latin addages to decorate furniture etc...but I think this sort of predates all of the that. The statesman is holding a Flag which is really and old document. The shade itself is made up of several cut up documents. It really is quite an impressive work of art.
