This is a set of 4 Franklin Mint solid sterling silver bird plates. They were produced in 1972 and each contains an etching of the original works of Richard Evans Younger, who was one of America\'s most prolific wildlife artists. This set includes \"American Bald Eagle\", \"Mallards\", \"Bobwhite\" and \"Cardinal\", all signed by Richard Evans Younger. Each has the original and very nicely made boxes and holders. The boxes look just like a book and can be stored as such, green simulated leather and gold lettering and embossing, and inside is green crushed velvet to hold the plate with padded satin or silk with silver lettering describing plate. They are in great condition so no toning or need to polish. Each plate is stamped on back with \"Franklin Mint Bird Plate Solid Sterling Silver Limited Edition\" with serial number & 1972. The Eagle weighs 6.9 ounces, Mallard 7.2 oz, Cardinal 6.7 oz and Bobwhite 7.7 oz for a total weight of 28.5 ounces. All original paperwork included.
