Large portrait of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, with his reproduced signature on the bottom, likely from his presidency, 1933 to 1945. On the back, there's a tag that reads, "Olson Rug Co.," and in pencil is written, "Chicago," so it could very well have been a premium offered by the popular floor-cover company during its--and Roosevelt's--height of popularity in the '30s or early '40s.
Frame is black and in decent shape, with some chipping, particularly on the bottom edge. The cardboard backing of the frame is coming detached from the wood and could use attention.
With frame, the item measures 18 1/4" x 14 3/8". The visible image is 15 1/2" x 11 9/16".
