Pegeon No1 ‘Le Sauveur Rechaud’

This is a very attractive French wooden handled little camping stove withbrass alcohol (Meths) reservoir and steel removable pan support. Rotatable collarallows adjustment of flame. .

There is not a wick as such, the whole tank is full of a sort of wadding which extends up and into the top burning area. It is this that is lit. The tank being full of wadding makes it so safe. I have lit it and it works perfectly. The flame adjustment is a bit fiddly but it burns with a nice ) flame.
