In this particular sale, you will be offerding on a sweet blast from the past. Not complete, this is a partial game of Grand Prix. A Sports Car Racing Game, the nearly 21 inch double sided board is marked Wright-Mudge Enterprises Fairfield, Conn. Likely from 1956, this game contains the following: double sided game board, original box,12 car specification cards, and a selection of scoresheets. Rare, this is an unusual game in that there are no dice or spinning wheels - a player would advance on the course based on driver skills, car performance, track conditions, and/or aggressiveness compared to the other players! Featuringthe Sebring track on one side and the Watkins Glen race course on the other, both layouts are very accurate to the actual real race courses in 1956! Sports Car Characteristics cards include Ferrari, Austin Healey, Jaguar, Porsche, Mercedes, Talbot Lago, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, and others! The game board itself would likely be suitable for framing. An early game, amodified version of the game was published by Avalon Hill as Le Mans later. Please look at the pictures prior to offerding. Again, this is not complete. There are no cars included.
