Early composition comic nodder. Approximately 6 3/4\" tall. Whimsical figure of man with right arm folded behind back and left hand in pocket of pants. Figure is wearing greenish blue jacket, yellow pants with white shirt and yellow tie. Figure has large nodding head topped with a jaunty hat. Black shoes appear to be cracked on the left foot and some composition loss around the neck (refer to photos). Figure\'s head wobbles and nods with the slightest movement. Be sure to place him on a solid flat surface because these early nodders are known to tip over. These early figures were sold by street vendors and frequently were offered as prizes at carnivals and amusement parks. This example is marked on the bottom with the word \"GERMANY\" stamped in purple ink (see photos). Some scuffing and fading to be expected of a child\'s toy that is almost a hundred years old.
