Believe to be German dog nodder 1st quarter 1900s. Made of composition with paper mache over and hand painted. The tail is coarse twisted paper and measures 5 1/4\" long to the tail and 4 3/4\" high. Has hairline cracks in the coating with chips missing around the tail, under the neck and underneath, where there is a small hole in the composition. Has beaded eyes and the head can be turned.
