Buy it now, Vintage German Seidel & Naumann Dresden ERICA M Typewriter,My research indicates that production of this model began in 1935 and I have heard reports of them being made at least through 1937 but perhaps longer. I was able to type the sample in photos. Nice clean keys, Nice graphics, Bell works, has beautiful click when typing, paper roller needs much help to load paper, Also I do not know how to make paper advance to the next line when carriage is returned to start a new line. This typewriter does need some work to make it fully functional.The known cosmetic defects are near the ERICA lettering near paper location the metal above the lettering is slightly bent . The wooden rollers that hold paper against the larger advance roller are less that perfect and the rod that holds them is slightly bent. There is paint rubbed off on one side as shown on picture. There is a little tarnish to chrome on back side of vertical paper holder. Also there appears to be a part missing that conceals the strike lever mechanisms.Please ask questions and review photos before purchase, I am not accepting returns at this time.
