Vintage German crockery Marzi Remy Rumtopf maker with lid. My Mom and Dad received this as a gift many years ago, it’s been used but not for quite a few years. Condition is very good, no chips or cracks, stored indoors. Beautiful dark Cobalt blue and natural gray pottery. Raised design on the front of fruits used in the Rumtopf and leaves. The crock holds a mixture of fruit preserved with rum - directions are easily available on the web - otherwise the crock makes an excellent display piece. The back of the crock is inscribed with German - I’m assuming a recipe for making the Rumtopf. Great piece and a fun project in food preservation. Measures 15 1/2” tall with the cover in place and about 8 1/4 - 8 1/2” across (without handles), hard to accurately measure because of the raised nature of the design on the crock. Made in Germany, marked on the bottom with the country of manufacture, a M over an R in a divided oval and the numbers 3044/7
