Total weight 3.85 oz. Diameter varies, approximately .90 inches average. Horizontal measurement 3 1/2 inches. Gold part vertical measurement about 2.1/2 inches. Total vertical measurement from bottom, including wood, to top about 5 1/2 inches.Has a slight dent midway along top and also a slight dents in the inscription area. Also some minor wear in flat end of horizontal part. This was used. Also has crack in wood, and some scratches in wood. See pics.Inscribed \"Alex Grouchy Baton Rouge, La Compliments Room 177\"Alexander Phillippe Grouchy, Jr. was born in 1870 and died in 1945. He was mayor of Baton Rouge from 1913 to 1922. He operated the Grouchy Hotel and the Istrouma Hotel in Baton Rouge. This cane handle was passed from Alex to his second wife on his death in 1945, and eventually passed to the wife\'s niece.
