this item comes from my friend\'s estate. She was an avid owl collector for over 50 years. she was in her collection. Has never been used. Was out for display only. It has black faceted cut stones for eyes - it is 4 inches long, 1-3/4 inches wide at ears and eyes and the depth of the tray is 1/2 inch. The tray/bowl area is also 1-1/2x 1-1/2 inches. I do not see any scratches and the head &tray/bowl is not smooth like the back of the ashtray. .
