Vintage Gurkha Kukri
The gurkha of Nepal trust one blade more than any other, and though her scabbard has seen better days, you could trust your life with this blade. The blade measure 12 inches from tip to tang with an additional 4 3/4 inches of handle. The scabbard has a wooden body with leather casing and a metal tip. One of the most elegant blades in the world. According to the consignor this has been in her family since the late 1800\'s, but I was contacted by an member that he thought this was from WWII era. Personally, I don\'t see how the scabbard could have deteriorated that much. The deterioration to my untrained eye seems more fit to match the consignor\'s words, but you decide.
