Antique HAND WROUGHT COIN/STERLING Silver NUT SPOON/TEA STRAINER Openwork Bowl
This long-handled Open Work SPOON could be used for serving NUTS or STRAINING TEA BAGS. It is beautifully HAND WROUGHT and very thin. It could be COIN SILVER, but looks more like STERLING. The oval bowl is \'slotted\' on the sides and \'triangle-notched\' on the bottom, with the central oval; area engraved with Xs. The handle is engraved with a flower and trailing leaves. The handle is a little bent, but this could be corrected. The overall condition is very good. It measures 3\" across the bowl and approximately 5 1/2\" from top of handle to bottom of bowl. It is hallmarked on the back of the handle: \'KV or XV\', a \'Crown over a lion\' and a swirled \'leaf\'. Please take a look at the attached pictures and judge for yourself.
