Vintage Holt Howard Japan Christmas Santa Candle Holder Saucer Pair Atomic 1959:
Please view all photos carefully as they are part of my description!
Photos tell the best story as they show more detail than you (or I) can see with the naked eye.Unsure about size? Compare to pieces you already own.
Be mindful of LISTED size as pictures are magnified to show detail!Christmas mid century kitsch!
Pair of rare saucer style candle holders.
Holt Howard Japan foil labels.
Inked Holt Howard 1959
Fabulous Santa faces -- gold paint dot eyes sparkle!
Height about 1.5"
Candle opening 7/8"
Age crazing is present.
No chips, no breaks or old repairs that I can see.
Hardly worth noting--around the rim of one candle holder is a tiny indent
painted over so just a manufacturer or mold bubble.
Another hardly worth noting --small darker dot on the red saucer about 1/8", under glaze.
Shelf wear to the bases.
Remarkable condition considering the age.Any desired cleaning is left to the new owner.A Note on Vintage Ceramics--these were hand painted and that is their vintage charm.
Make sure you are okay with imperfect paint conditions prior to offerding. There are no
repairs or retouching done by me (sold as found)! Any desired cleaning will be left to the new owner.
Please use care when cleaning as many vintage paints are not fired on and can wash off
if left for a "good soak"! Use a q-tip and mild soapy water to test and use care!A Note on SHIPPING--the calculated rate quoted on your screen is determined by the USPS from my zip code
to your zip code. For example: a seller in Michigan to the west coast will cost more than a seller shipping from
around the corner. I do not make money on shipping! I do not charge additional for handling, packing materials
bubble wrap or boxes. USPS charges by weight. Different than First Class, Priority shipping is charged by a
weight category, not per ounce. For example, under 1 pound, 1-2 pounds, 2-3 pounds. 1.5 pounds will cost the same
as 1.9 pounds to ship. I use Priority shipping in a Flat Rate box if the item fits and if the cost is lower. Play fair
and understand POSTAGE before dinging sellers on shipping cost ratings- I have no control over charges by USPS.* Thank you for shopping! * I am a non smoker and so is my dog.*
