VINTAGE AND ORIGINAL, VERY UNIQUE HALLMARK (HALL BROTHERS, INC.)
VALENTINE\'S DAY GREETING CARD WITH A VERY UNUSUAL SPRING LOADED
NOVELTY INSERT THAT ONCE OPENED, THE SPRING TIGHTENS
AND LOOKS LIKE A WORM, REFERING TO THE \"SQUIRM\" NOTE ON THE FRONT,
NUMBERED 25 V231-3
Original, as found, vintage,once used and since stored condition. This card was found in a small collection of other vintage greeting cards. It measures 5\" x 6\" with a rabbit on the front with the quote that reads, DON\'T USUALLY GO FOR VALENTINES THAT SLUSH JUST MAKES ME SQUIRM, BUT COULDN\'T MISS THE CHANCE TODAY TO SEND YOU THIS, YOU--. On the inside, once opened, there is a metal spring with glass/porcelain head that when pulled, it tightens to appear to look like a worm \"squirming\". On this same page, it is signed in the very bottom left and on the right PATENT PENDING. It is signed in ink on this same page PAL. Reverse has some glue and marks from more than likely once being mounted in an album. There is no original envelope to this card.Really nice and very early use of novelty ideas like this in greeting cards from one of the largest USA makers! Would be a great addition to your Valentine\'s Day items or Hallmark cards!DON\'T MISS OUT! VERY UNIQUE PIECE!Would make a great gift for that special someone, too!
