VINTAGE HALLMARKED SOLID SILVER HANDLED \'ART DECO\' CORKSCREW - 1933:

Here we have a scarce solid silver English hallmarked handled corkscrew
dating to the Art Deco period, with the typical geometric design evocative
of that era. The \'screw\' element appears to be steel.The handle bears the makers mark \'SLD\' for William Suckling Ltd, the anchor
for Birmingham, lion denoting sterling silver, the date letter \'J\' for 1933, and
the additional Jubilee mark. It seems to be a solid handle and not clad or
filled. Possibly cast.Please view the above pictures - they should show all in detail.The corkscrew is 10.4 cms long and the handle 8.2 cms wide.
It weighs just under 68g (all measurements approximate).There is surface wear to the silver, including minor indentations; all
