Here are three vintage holiday decorations from the 1970s made of melted plastic. The two Halloween decorations, a ghost and a scarecrow, have a clear plastic backing on them. The Easter or Spring duck decoration does not have that backing. The ghost has some black paint specks on the white sections that looks like it was misapplied during the manufacturing process. You can’t really see it too well in the photos, but there are black specks of paint throughout the white sections giving it a somewhat dirty look. This might be normal for this piece, but we\'ve never had another one like it to compare it with. The black outline paint also looks as if it wasn’t put on evenly in some areas. Some spots the outline is lighter or non existent. The ghost and scarecrow came out of the estate of an employee who worked for the plastic company who made these melted plastic decorations, so it’s possible they were factory rejects. All the pieces could use a light cleaning. The ghost measures approximately 20” tall and 15” wide. The scarecrow measures approximately 24.5\" tall x 19\" wide. The duck measures approximately 18” tall x 14” wide. Some of the photos posted here were taken from the back of the decoration so you can see what they look like on both sides.
