Thislisting is for a Vintage Hand-Carved Red Stone (Soapstone or Shoushan Stone? Teapot & 4 Lotus shaped Cups \"Very Heavy\" Artist Signed. Lovely set in excellent vintage pre-owned condition, free of any chips, nicks or cracks, appears to have been rarely used if at all. The set appears to have been carved from either soapstone orpossibly Shoushan stone form the Fujian Province. The red stone features an array ofearth tonecoloration\'sand veins. The teapot is adorned with a beautiful hand carved floral pattern and the underside of the lid appears to bear the artistsignature / mark (see picture 6). Each of the cups is shaped in a partial closed lotus flower, quite endearing.Measurements for the teapot are approx. 7\" from spout to handle, 3 3/4\" in height (not incl. lid), 4 1/2\" in diameter at its widest and weight well over 2 lb. Each of the cups measures approx. 2\" in diameter and 1 1/2\" in height.
