This hand-made very collectible and hand-paintedPorcelain has been around since around A.D. 620; more modern methods and mixtures started to be used around A.D. 1279. Originating in China, the earliest porcelains used kaolin (a type of clay) and pegmatite (a type of granite). Early European versions used clay and ground glass. In 1707, German manufacturers started using feldspar instead of glass in a process that continues today. In today’s porcelain, silica is also added to the raw ingredients. The raw materials are finely ground, cleaned, formed in a mold, and then fired.

FORMING:Forming methods vary depending upon the shapes.The formed bodies ( by mold ) are left to dry and finished with water sponging to gently remove scratches and scars from the surfaces.
FIRST FIRING (BISCUIT):Porcelain first firing, called ‘Biscuit,’ is carried out at a temperature of around 750 to 850 centigrade.However, in order to achieve the best results within such specific temperature range, the firing schedule must be carefully controlled.
Decorating : Porcelain standard decorating methods are hand painting
Glazing :Porcelain glaze is a mixture of frit and kaolin. The glaze needs to be applied by spraying
SECOND FIRING (GLOST) :The glaze-coated biscuits are set in the saggers in order to avoid direct exposure to flames. The saggers are piled up on kiln cars and sent into a tunnel kiln. When the temperature goes up to around 1,200 centigrade .
Second Decorating :Used gold finishing is hand-blushed onto the pieces by well-skilled artisans
Final Firing :When the temperature goes up to around 700 to 800 centigrade.
