A small calendar diary, \"The Excelsior Diary, 1912. Pembroke Stationery Co. Office Supplies Salt Lake\" It was owned by aman named Fred Cottrell who lived in Utah or Idaho. It seems he was probably a farmer.However I don\'t think that he wrote in 1912, but in 1925. Most of theentries have to do with the weather. \'Clear, calm, warm\' or \'Windy, overcast\' or \'rotten weather.\' Some are more detailed. There are a few notes about digging a new canal and building a dry dam for it. Also surveying is mentioned briefly.
There are a few slips of paper tipped into the book. Two are \'Weight Tickets\' for loads of hay sold to a \'Dr. Smith\' of the Utah-Idaho SugarCompanyfrom \'Fred Cottrell\', and both are dated November 1925. The rest are slips of graph paper thathave notes and figures on them.
Written in ink and pencil. From Jan 1st to March 6th it is empty, then cursive writing begins. It changes from cursive to print at the beginning of June, easier to read. There are a few other areas written in cursive as well. There is a blank address book, cash account, and then an area for notes that has some writings.
It is in good condition, aged, with some edge wear.

A very cool find, handwritten notes from the past.
