Adorable pair of heavy vintage bookends. Made of cast metal, the book ends depict 2 children, one a boy, the other a girl, each standing on a book with their hands clasped behind their backs. Dressed in Victorian era clothing, they each have the cutest expressions on their faces which are open to interpretation! They could be looking a little guilty, saying they are sorry or even sulking in the corner. Either way, these just capture the innocence of childhood and your heart!Each stands just a tad over 6 inches tall. The book bases measure about 3 inches by 2.5 inches.They are a verdigris green in color which is some sort of cold paint over the metal. green felt covering the bottoms with no makers markings that I can find.
