I am absolutely head-over-heels about this dress. It is what defines the “Hippie” generation! The BOLD colors of orange, brown, red. Pink, and yellow, all together make this fabulous, vibrant print so classic of the time. First let me start with the fabric. Bright colors abound, all set in an inky black base. Roses and other paisley floral patterns scream 70s. They just don\'t do these colors anymore. The fabric is in excellent condition. It\'s bright and unfaded. The fabric feels like feather light thin wool. It\'s very soft, so I\'m thinking it\'s a cotton poly blend with a little wool? It has a firmness to it that can\'t be just cotton alone. The bodice is a traditional peasant type. Elastic scoop neck, that can be worn up or low on the shoulders, and transitions to a figure-flattering elastic waist. This is the bomb! Now for the sleeves, they\'re just dreamy! Voluminous balloons that end at elastic at the wrist. The elastic is shot, but the sleeves look fine as is. The dress continues down to a somewhat full skirt that ends in a ruffle. The pattern is running vertically which gives the illusion of length. There is a delicate thin satin ribbon sash belt that is attached. It\'s very long, so it\'s meant to be wrapped around the waist several times, or left hanging to cascade down the back. Hands down this dress is a once in a life time find. It\'s stunning and in excellent vintage condition. GREAT for a nostalgia party!
