Holt-Howard PixiewareKetchup Bowl with SpoonHolt-Howard made some of the most whimsical household accessories in the 50s and 60s that are still collected today. The company was establshed in Stamford, CT in 1948 by A. Grant Holt and the brothers Robert and John Howard. They designed ceramic kitchen and gift items until 1990 when they sold the company to Kay Dee Designs. Many of their creations are valued vintage collectibles now.

This impudent Ketchup pot designedby Holt-Howard and made in Japan in 1958 is an excellent example of their Pixieware and is in good condition. Ketchup has a bit of crazing that adds to his vintage look, but he recently had an accident while on a road trip He sustained a fracture to his neck and upper leg. He was treated by the best \"gluer\" around and meticulously touched up on his legs with very closely matching paint. The fracture to his neck was repaired and has healed with barely a scar. Please look carefully at the picturesto be sure you\'re happy with this rehabilitated \"old guy.\"The piece measures 5.5 inches to the top of the pixie\'s head and the bowl is 4 inches in diameter. The pixie is pumpkin-colored and has a green hat and green ears.
