This sale is for a vintage Hopi Kachina Doll signed by the artist, N. Smith. It is made of cottonwood and was purchased near Taos, NM in 1986 or 1987. The doll is expertly crafted and in great condition. It depicts the owl spirit. It is 12\" tall. Another recent listing described a kachina by N. Smith as a Navajo doll, but I believe this is incorrect and that N. Smith was from the Hopi nation.
