This is a unique Vintage ItalianArt Pottery Figural Pitcher or Creamer.Hand crafted and hand decorated in Italy for WC & G (not certain what that may be). Thisis a fun Pitcher designed as a Mouse (or it could be aCat??) wearing a bowtie and jacket. The body of this darling piece is vividly hand decorated with the illusion of a plaid jacket, wide lapels and even tiny raised buttons. A hint of leaves trims his plaid coat and a handle accents his back. This is larger than the traditional cream pitcher, so it may have been intended for milk or water. Colors are vivid in shades of teal green, deep pink, yellow, gray and gold on a creamy white background.

In very nice condition with slight signs of use ~ a gentle cleaning might be preferred. We found no cracks or repairs. These wonderful older pieces are prone to nicks and paint flakes ~ several flakes were noted, primarily on his little ear tips and spout ~these could be retouched. Common pottery, paint and glazing blemishes do appear (pops, drips, skips etc.),only adding character to this unique Pitcher. Measuresalmost 6\" high(base to ear top) x nearly 5 - 1/2\" wide (at the widest center area including the handle). The underside is handmarked and numbered.
