A fabulous Demetz Studios Italy Hand Carved Nativity Set. Set includes a 30\" tall Joseph, a 20\" kneeling Mary, a 10 1/2\" baby Jesus and 14\" long crib. Baby Jesus is a separate piece that can be removed from manger. All Pieces are in excellent condition. Upon close inspection, Joseph\'s staff which is removable from the hole in his hand, and has been glued in one place. It has a tiny chip. No big deal any only mentioned for the microscope. If I did not mention it, you would have not noticed it. Both Joseph and Mary have the silver VDF Italy button inlaid on bottom. This is a monumental set. The photos in no way do it justice. All pieces are exquisitely and expertly hand carved in wood and painted in polychrome oil paint. It is for indoor use only. This is a set you would see in a church setting, but would certainly be a treasured family heirloom to be displayed and passed down for generations to come in your family home. If you were to buy a comparable set from Italy at the Demetz factory it would be in the $3500.00 price range + container shipping + at least 6 weeks time frame for arrival.
