This is a gem of an oldtin lithograph Easter toy by J Chein & Co, made in the USA. There is the red/white/bluecompany shield logo on the back of the cart. I couldn\'t find my book on Chein toys to date it accurately, but I believe it was made in the 1930s or 1940s. The Easter Bunny isdressed in checkered overalls andwears a large kerchief around his neck andlarge green hat over his ears. The cartcan be lined with old grass and filled with peeps, small bunnies, ducks,candy or other Easter treasures for display!The toymeasures approximately10 1/2\"long and 7 1/2\" tall. The cart is almost 3\" deep. It rolls on two sturdy red tin wheels. There is a spot onone side of his front leg that looks like either old paint was spattered there or it simply missed being \"checkered\'. I have shown it close up.There area fewplaces on the inside of the cart where the paint is missing whichI have shown in thepictures.They do not show whenthe cart is filledwith grass and other vintage Easter collectables. It rolls easily.The workmanship and detailed graphicson this piece is superb, and it is in great condition with no dents and very few scratches.Shipping will be $6.50 in US and actual shipping cost intl.
