Vintage salad serving set, spoon and fork marked \"W A Sheffield England\" (WA is for William Adams). Pieces are approximately 9 1/4\" long, with a shell design at the end of a long, sleek handle. Great condition with normal wear, and minor tarnish.
Set comes with original cloth case marked, \"Silver Galleries The J. L. Hudson Company Detroit\", which is in near perfect condition!The J. L. Hudson Company was founded in 1881, and as of 1961, was the tallest department store in the world! Hudson became one half of theDayton-Hudson corporation in 1969, and the headquarters moved from Detroit to Minneapolis. They operate Macy\'s and Target now, among others.
