Vintage Japan Oval Planter ( Banana Boat Style)Dark Brown Glossy Finish with Matte Gold AccentingEmbossed Japan on the front2 1/8\" H x 10\" L x 3.2 5\" WPurchased at a recent estate sale. Unique shape to this planter...I could see it filled with a floral arrangement or a small Bonsai Tree. Has a hollowed out bottom on the inside that is perfect for planting foam. It is a dark chocolate brown which is glossy and then has brushed on gold accenting which is more of a matte. It is very light weight, at first I thought it was plastic, but it is some type of pottery. You can tell by the red clay base. Some rough spots along the underneath edge..I can feel them but can\'t see them. Some scuffs to the gold. No other flaws noted. It would display very nicely.
