DescriptionThis is a vintage Japanese unglazed pottery vase for hanging of Bizen ware. Was made about 20-30 years ago. Many natural ash glaze attached on the body. Has a metal ring for hang it on the wall. Made by famous potter Mitsunobu Ishino. The seal of the potter is carved on the bottom.Bizen ware (Bizen yaki) is a type of Japanese pottery traditionally from Bizen province, presently a part of Okayama prefecture. Bizen is characterized by significant hardness due to high temperature firing, its earthen-like, reddish-brown color, absence of glaze, although it may contain traces of molten ash resembling glaze, and markings resulting from wood-burning kiln firing.ConditionAs show in the pictures, it\'s EXCELLENT condition.
