Thisis a wonderful vintage Japanese lacquer paper mache box with slipover cover. Thebottom of this box has a red stamp that reads: MADE IN PATENT JAPAN; along withthe numbers 755/8 & 2-55-3 Theletters C-L are stamped on the inside of the cover. This piece is in goodvintage condition with some wear and a thin crack on an inside corner as shownin photos.

Thisbeautiful box measures approximately 7 ¼” tall by 5 ¼” wide and 2 ¼” deep.
