DESCRIPTION:Offered here is a Scarce hard to find Vintage circa 1940s or 50s Occupied Japan era Toshikane Arita porcelain Sterling Silver brooch. This brooch measures 1 1/4\" in diameter and has a raised relief porcelain God with ribbons in the center trimmed in bright shiny gold. The detail is excellent.
The brooch is mounted with a safety latch pin back and marked Sterling. I am assuming 950 silver as most of the Japanese silver from this era was .950 instead of .925
There is no damage to note. There is a tiny bit of wear to the gold highlights. Toshikane jewelry is highly collectible and you can see why.
