This listing is for a Vintage Jerusalem Israel Decorative Brass Dagger & Sheath , with a Fish shape design with very detailed engravings of animals and people and arabic inscriptions.Images of a lion feasting on a deer, a gazelle running, soldier yielding his sword with a bird flying in the background.Another panel of two birds and, two floral panels.The dagger also has 6 panels with Arabic / Kufic writings / inscriptions.If someone can read it, please let me know.Most of the body exterior has acquired a patina, although the blade seems fresher, as it was not exposed while seated in the sheath.The blade, even though decorative has a sharp edge, and is decorated on both sides with floral and arabesque scrolling.The blade is marked \" Jerusalem \" on one side and \" Israel \" on the other side. 16 5/8 inches overall length , 2 1/8 inches widest at the crown of the handle , 1 5/8 inches widest at the scabbard\'s raised lip.Has good overall weight, weighs over 2 lbs. on my balance.
